We need a Register of Probate who can work with judges, lawyers, staff and the general public to make dealings with the Court system as easy and as fair as possible for all. Mike will work to bring the Registry into the 21st Century by implementing e-filing, satellite courtrooms and to reduced wait times. Currently, those working with our court system experience heavy delays, unreasonable wait times, and have to sacrifice an entire day's worth of work just to complete one task. It shouldn't be that hard.
Michael has been a member in Good Standing of the Massachusetts Bar for over 33 years. He is a long time member of the Norfolk County Bar Association and is presently serving on the Executive Board. He also serves on the Norfolk County Advisory Board to the Norfolk County Commissioners. He also serves as the Select Board Secretary to the Massachusetts Municipal Association and is a member of the Norfolk County Selectmen Association. Michael has been meeting with the Judges and lawyers bi-weekly during the COVID-19 Pandemic to discuss ways to move the Court forward, and keeping the public and staff safe when the Courts reopen.
Michael F. Walsh wants to bring his service to the community to the forefront of his campaign for Register of Probate. Mike's unwavering commitment as both an elected official in the Town of Westwood an his consistent support of other youth sports, religious, and community programs are the driving force behind his run for Probate. We need a more approachable, outward-facing, and public Registrar of Probate that will listen to our public and deliver with results.
With the Worldwide COVID-19 Epidemic becoming an increasing fear for residents of Norfolk County, Michael Walsh will bring the County Probate Court into the 21st Century. More services for all of our residents should be online, easily accessible, and easy to find. In an ever-changing world of uncertainty that seems to halt all Government functions, Michael Walsh will remain committed to our residents and explore ways to modernize the Probate System in Norfolk County.
